Ode to our Stroller

I was just thinking today how our stroller goes EVERYWHERE with us and has really allowed us the freedom to come and go as we like while carrying all our crap. So, I thought it was time to honour it with its own ode....

Oh stroller, oh stroller,
So glad we know ya.

You have carried our load,
on every mode (of transportation).

On bus, by rail, by taxi and by ferry,
You do your job well and all our goods you do carry.

To the grocery store with both boys in tow,
Carrying all of our groceries and still you go, go go.

To parks and playgrounds filled with coats, toys and snacks,
You easily glide over big bumps and very deep cracks.

To class far away where the boys dance and sing,
And to swim class nearby at the local gym.

To the zoo, aquarium and wildlife park,
Early in the morning, late in the afternoon and even in the dark.

On the bus you assure us the very best seat,
Sitting away from the crowds is really quite a treat.

You put up with being both pulled and pushed,

And you are so comfy under Tucker's little tush.

Only lately have you even made a peep,
Your poor, tired wheels have begun to go, "Squeak."

While we hope you have many more miles to go,
There will come a time when your wheels will just say, "No."

When that time comes we will say a sad goodbye,
To our dear, dear companion with a tear and a sigh.

Oh stroller, oh stroller, you have been with us on all our adventures and quests,
Oh stroller of ours you are better than all the rest!

Oh stroller, oh stroller,
So glad we know ya.

(No, I am not drunk.)
