The Rocks April 13, 2011

view of the bridge
Today we went an area called, The Rocks, which was originally inhabited by the Indigenous Cadigal people then in 1788 Australia's first European settlers-British convicts and their overseers-claimed the land and built their camp/gaols there. Today there are  some beautiful views, lots of art galleries and many restaurants/bars. We walked a bit and then stopped for lunch.  The best part of the day was finding two rainbow lorikeets just hanging out (okay, they were mating but is that really what is important??).  They were gorgeous.

this doesn't need a caption right?

Cooper at lunch

When we returned home Tucker went down for another marathon nap and Coop and I went swimming.  He was amazing today! He swam underwater almost the entire width of the pool-- several times!  I am so proud of him. This was a HUGE step.

Another good day down under! :)
