Last night was the big Mardi Gras parade here in Sydney. Apparently it is one of the biggest celebrations in the world and it draws nearly $30 million dollars into NSW. Wow! The parade is really Mardi Gras/Gay Pride Parade. The sights were fantastic! The security was incredible. And it was all happening right outside our building. Wish there was better weather and Tuck was healthy so we could have checked out the actual parade for a bit. Oh, well. Next year.

This is what we saw when we walked out of our building Saturday morning. Major security! |
| This guy was a hoot. He was posing for everyone who walked by. |
Interesting- an apology from some church members for the hate that a church has for gays and lesbians. |
| Coop said, "Look at the pretty arch." |
| Some people should really think twice.... |
| Rainbows everywhere! Flags, umbrellas- you name it. |
When Tucker saw these guy and gals, he started chanting, "Go team! Go team!" |
| check out the police presence |
It was terrible weather. Apparently, there is one religious leader in the area who prays for rain every year to prevent the parade from happening. He got the rain, but the parade went on! |
These policemen were "guarding" the entrance to our building. The staging area for the floats was right in front of our apt. |
When Tuck say this guy (yes, it is a guy), he said, "Chick. chick." Which means chicken. :)
