Friday is Coop's 5th birthday. He asked for a fireman party. I, of course, agreed and decided to make the cake myself. Now, I have made cakes before, but this one I decided to do "by the book." So 4 sheet cakes, 3 batches of buttercream frosting and a lot of food coloring later, I made a firetruck cake for Coop's party.
Special thanks to my wonderful friend, Corey and Kik Messenger!!!
Couldn't have done it without you "two." :)
Here it is!
3 of the 4 layers stacked
3 layers shaped to a rectangle
Now shaped like the firetruck
crumb layer complete
red icing complete
grey frosting complete
wheels and "buttons" added
ladders attached
white chocolate windows and Starburst lights
ax or "wax" as Coop calls it added
front and back emergency lights added
rear view
That is amazing Steph! What a great mom and so creative. I am in awe. :)
