Saturday in the Park with the Boys

The boys and I ventured out to the park this morning. We hadn't been in quite some time and it was a beautiful morning- the sun was shining, the air warm, but not hot and the birds were happily chirping away.  We took Tofie with us too. Manzie chose to stay in bed a little longer.  Smart girl!

We hooked Tofie up in the cart and let her run about a bit. She loved it! After some exercise, she curled up on my lap and took a short nap.

The boys found some large branches that had recently fallen down and immediately they got busy.

Tuck had fun pulling leaves off the branches.

Cooper spent a great deal of time trying to figure out how to get the branches to stand up again. He tried several things including digging a hole and putting the branch in, but had no luck. Finally, he figured out that he could lean the branches against the tree trunk and he was good to go!

Then, just as quickly as he figured it out, he decided he needed to move the branches out of the way so no one gets hurt.

On the way home, Tuck's shoe came untied and Coop tried to help.  Although his attempt was unsuccessful, it was sweet never-the-less.
