Chinese Garden- Darling Harbour

The boys and I visited the Chinese Garden of Friendship this morning. This is one of the very few true Chinese Gardens outside of Asia. It was built to honor the friendship between Sydney and its sister city, Guangzhou in Guangdon Providence, China.  I did not know that the difference between a Chinese Garden and a Western Garden is the Chinese Garden does not have any planted flowerbeds or manicured lawns. It is a beautiful space and the boys had a great time exploring. While there we saw lots of  carp and water skinks swimming in the water and basking in the, well, the clouds today. :) The boys made wishes and threw a coin into the fountain and, before leaving, were able to draw their favourite part of the garden in the childrens' visitor book.
  Enjoy the pictures!
