Today was one of those days that I was just so proud of my boys. Of course I am always proud of them, but something was special about today. I think it started when we were at the quarantine station and Cooper actually sat down and snuggled up to Tofie. Usually he wants to leave the minute we get there. He talked to her, held her and was genuinely interested in her. On our way out he walked right up to one of the attendants we have become friendly with and told her all about a bird we saw at the train station with only one foot. He assumes that since she works with the dogs that she knows all about all kinds of animals. He was so well-spoken and sincere while talking with her. When we got back to our apartment and Tucker was napping, we took out the paints and he said, "Mom, sometimes it feels good to do my work." So cute that painting is his work! He spent so much time creating a picture and then said to me that when it dries we can "write the words to tell the story." How cool is that! And I didn't even do my teacher thing to get him to do that- it was all his idea! After Tucker woke up, we headed out for a few "jobs" (or errands). He was so happy and pleasant. We did our errands and had dinner. We stopped in one store to look around- which he agreed to do without complaint. While I was looking away Tucker spilled his water on the floor. I didn't even notice and then next thing I knew, Cooper said to the clerk, "Um excuse me, but my brother spilled his water." Wow. And, to top it all off, on the way home he said, "Mom, this was a really great day."

Tucker did the cutest thing. Right before bed I was giving him his inhaler and he picked up one of his stuffed animals and gave it a breathing treatment and then he proceeded to give a treatment to all of the stuffed animals in the bed- over and over again! When he was done, he picked up a book, opened it up and began "reading" it aloud. A perfect moment in time.

That is such a great thing. They are growing up so much. With all the stress in our lives it can be hard to notice these little moments. I am glad you were able to appreciate them!
