Today we went to the Sydney Aquarium. We took the monorail. At first Cooper was adamant that he did not want to go on the monorail, but once on it, he was thrilled. He said, "Good thing this pufferbelly doesn't have seat belts!" Okay, I realize that is a totally random comment and we are not really sure why he said it but it cracked me up so I had to put it in here. The aquarium is located in Darling Harbor which seems to be a touristy section of town- or at least one of them. It was beautiful- tons of boats, outdoor cafes and great people watching. We walked a bit and then had some lunch by the water. Then off to the Sydney Aquarium. They had many of the usual water creatures one might see at any aquarium, but there were a few that were new and different. One was the dugong which is native to AU and was incredible to watch move along. The other ones that we really liked were the enormous sea turtles. There was also a walkway where you could literally walk under all the creatures as they swam. It was pretty cool seeing the underbellies of these fascinating creatures.
